We’ve been pretty darn busy this summer with writing, recording, and playing gigs, but last week we had the whole week off. We decided to take a family trip to Vegas and LA. We’ve never been to Vegas before, and let me tell you…it was such a cool place, so many lights…and so HOT! At one point it was 111 degrees!!! Crazy. We did the Hoover Dam tour, which was really neat. We all did a zip line on Freemont Street, which was awesome. I have a fear of heights, but after I did it I was so happy that I had faced a fear! Haha. We walked a lot while we were there. Shopped a lot too! After Vegas, we drove to the Grand Canyon. If you haven’t been there, be sure to make a trip. It was beautiful. Such a sight to see. We took plenty of pictures, but the pictures do not do it justice! Our mom was terrified because we were getting pretty close to the edge while taking photos. I assure you, all of us were safe about it. Haha! After the Grand Canyon, we drove to Los Angeles. LA is so big! So many people! We stayed in Hollywood one night, and Marina del Rey the last two nights. We walked a lot while we were there as well. We got to go to the Jay Leno show taping. We saw Sheryl Crow and Ryan Reynolds. He looked even better in person!! The taping was a blast. Hopefully we’ll be on there some day soon
It was a much needed trip. Now we’re back in Nashville and ready to get back to work! We’re going back into the studio to track a few more songs next week! We’ll keep you guys posted on the progress!!
